Controller, Finance

Janis Holloway

New to the Ann Arbor area, Janis comes to our community with 25 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant with extensive community foundation and nonprofit experience. Janis graduated from Georgetown College in Kentucky with a degree in accounting and information systems and practiced in public accounting in Lexington and Cincinnati. After leaving public accounting to raise her sons, she re-entered the accounting field with an interest in nonprofit organizations.

Her career as controller of several nonprofit organizations makes her perfectly suited to lead the accounting team at AAACF. Janis is a licensed CPA and CGMA in Michigan & Kentucky; she recently earned the Not-for-Profit Certificate II from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); and she is a member of the AICPA and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Not for Profit II Badge

Janis has two sons in college, a third working in Cincinnati, and is enjoying being an empty nester with her husband and two dogs. Her family loves to boat, kayak, ski and snowboard, and explore the communities around their home on Belleville Lake. Otherwise known as the ‘baby whisperer’, Janis spends some of her free time volunteering as a cuddler in the neonatal intensive care unit at University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
