TRUSTEE, Semi-Retired Partner at Praxis Properties, Board of Trustees
Bill is honored to return to the AAACF Board after previously serving as Chair many years ago. He believes the Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening the community, and its mission to be a force For Good. For Ever. For All. has long inspired the generosity and trust of its donors, supporters, and community partners.
After coming to Ann Arbor for graduate school at the University of Michigan, where he earned advanced degrees in mathematics and engineering, Bill pursued a career in the "built world." He founded Phoenix Contractors, a commercial construction company, and Praxis Properties, a development company. Today, he remains a partner in both businesses during his semi-retirement while his son leads their day-to-day operations.
Bill has been actively involved with numerous nonprofit organizations throughout the community, with a continuing focus on Riverside Arts Center, The Ark, the Huron River Watershed Council, SOS Community Services, and many others. He is passionate about supporting the arts, music, environmental stewardship, and social services - causes that are also deeply valued by many AAACF donors. Bill is committed to helping expand the Foundation's impact and philanthropic reach and is honored to contribute to its continued growth and success.
