Betsy grew up in Ann Arbor, married her high school classmate, and has been involved in community activities all along the way. Betsy has served on several local non-profit boards, including an earlier eight -year period on the AAACF board. Her education includes a B.S. from Indiana University (Go Big Red), an M.B.A. from Eastern Michigan University, and her law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Her law practice concentrated on the areas of estate planning and estate settlement, and she is now nearly fully retired.
