Amina Iqbal

An educator at heart, Amina is committed to community advancement, outreach, and unity-building. As a Senior Community Investment Officer, Amina engages with community and nonprofits on AAACF’s grantmaking programs and community initiatives to enrich the quality of life in Washtenaw County.

Her experience in interfaith and grassroots efforts to improve education, health, and wellness in impoverished communities drives Amina’s interest in creating community impact. In addition to 15 years of volunteer and professional experience, Amina has a Bachelor’s from the University of Wyoming in Professional Child Development and a Master’s in Education Policy and Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

What is your favorite thing to do in Washtenaw County?
There is so much to do! I love walking around the Umich campus, exploring the museums, bookstores, and many beautiful parks with my family.
