Community Grantmaking - Educational Equity & Economic Empowerment Grant Program

The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation's Community Investment Committee is seeking opportunities to invest funds that will support the healing of our communities. The Community Grantmaking Program seeks to increase opportunities for economic empowerment and education attainment and to decrease racial and economic inequities throughout Washtenaw County by investing in community-based organizations, capacity-building programs, and/or services that support:

Equity in Education:

  • Increase literacy efforts for marginalized youth in middle to high school
  • Providing mental health and wellness opportunities for marginalized youth from preschool to high school
  • Mentoring programs that provide a holistic approach and empower marginalized youth from preschool to high school

Economic Empowerment:

  • Educational programming to support those experiencing unemployment and/or economic hardship


Notes:

  • One application per organization.
  • Available Grant Dollars: ~$280,000 (request up to $20,000)
  • Attending one of three Information Sessions is REQUIRED.

If needed, register for the NonProfit Portal to receive access to the grant application. All organizations must submit a request for credentials by Friday, June 30th, 2023.
