OPEN - Capacity Building to Support Racial Equity and Social Justice Work in Washtenaw County
February 28, 2022
Goal: The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation and United Way of Washtenaw County are looking to provide capacity building opportunities for organizations doing racial equity/social justice work through access to consultants via the Catchafire platform.
Eligibility: Organizations that meet the following criteria:
Additional Consideration:
These criteria are based on data from the 2021 AAACF Catchafire User Survey which looked to understand the impact of working with Catchafire and what kinds of organizations reported as being “much stronger” from the opportunity.
Length of Engagement: This opportunity would be for two years from February 2022 through February 2024.
Expectations: In an effort to support organizations where the need for capacity support is self-reported as high, organizations are expected to work on a minimum of 2 projects per year, with no ceiling on how many projects they can undertake.
This program is a first come first served opportunity where organizations opt in as opposed to being assigned. Organizations will attend an information session facilitated by AAACF, UWWC, and Catchafire to support awareness and expectations related to the opportunity to be eligible for selection. Selection is based upon an organization’s responses to the application, with decisions being made by key staff at AAACF and UWWC.
