Community Investment Associate
Grantmaking & Community Impact

(734) 663-0401 x18

Born and raised in Washtenaw County, Katie is deeply committed to improving the quality of life in our community, especially for its under-served residents. This passion fuels her work with AAACF’s strategic grant making initiatives, through which she works to convert community funds into impactful support for the area’s nonprofit sector. Katie sees her two degrees from U of M—Music Arts and Organizational Studies—as surprisingly interconnected, as both give her a systems level perspective that helps her to form effective solutions to the systemic issues facing Washtenaw County. Katie’s extensive knowledge of foundations began when she worked as a Dobson D-SIP Intern at the Glacier Hills Foundation. She is also a board member for YNPN Washtenaw and on the Steering Committee for Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy – Michigan. When Katie is not working for AAACF or playing music, she is involved with several activist groups in the area fighting for racial justice and the rights of undocumented residents.
