AAACF is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2021 Arts and Culture Program! Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) is investing in strengthening arts & culture nonprofits in Washtenaw County. We seek to activate the artistic and cultural identity of all people in Washtenaw County and ensure a fundamental level of access to arts and culture for everyone. We would like to note that the “In the Neighborhood” Program is taking a pause since last year as we focus on responding to the community for COVID-19 Relief and Recovery efforts. AAACF is seeking opportunities to invest funds in new and existing community-based projects that are serving communities through arts and culture focusing on racial equity and COVID-19 relief and recovery 1) Provide resources and programming to limit the damage and harm caused by health and economic hardships and/or 2) Efforts related to COVID-19 which create opportunities for immediate and long-term recovery, systemic transformation, and revitalization throughout to communities underserved and affected most by COVID-19. Collaboration with non-profit partners for a more creative and stronger outcome is encouraged. In addition, AAACF provided $25,000 to Creative Washtenaw Aid to support individual artists who have been impacted and/or are working on creative ways towards COVID-19 relief and recovery.
