Chuck Warpehoski is a social change strategist focused on building diverse and inclusive coalitions and helping individuals be more effective change makers. He has served sixteen years as Director of the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice and six years as a City Council member in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Chuck has successfully led campaigns to expand public transit, increase affordable housing funding, and improve police accountability. In 2019 he stepped down from the leadership of Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice to found Change Works Consulting, which focuses on helping businesses and organizations build diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces and teams. Chuck’s leadership has earned him the Michigan Jaycees 2011 Outstanding Young Religious Leader Award, the 2013 Rev. Thomas H. Smith Race Relations Award presented by Brown Chapel AME Church in Ypsilanti, MI, and the 2017 Light of Unity Award for Racial and Cultural Equity awarded by Baha’i Community of Ann Arbor.
