YACF Grant Program

Focus Area: Greater Ypsilanti Area

Application Available: Mid-October

Application Deadline: November 14, 2017 @ 5 PM

Priority Populations: Families that are economically disadvantaged, familes without access to healhcare, and families that are historically marginalized and therefore underrepresented in higher education degree attainment.

Available Funds: $39,000 - Funding will be awarded to programs and services that are supported by collaborative partnerships across sectors.

Application Submission Process

  • Review grant program guidelines at
  • Register for the NonProfit Portal if your organization does not have login access. Due to the time it takes to receive login credentials all organizations must register before November 6th.
  • RSVP for one of the three Information Sessions listed below. All applicants are required to attend an information session.
  • Complete and submit the YACF Application. Please note that the application will not go live in the portal until October. For planning purposes, a template of the application can be found here.
  • Funding decisions will be made in December
Session 1: September 26, 1:30-2:30 PM @ Ypsilanti District Library-Michigan
Session 2: October 4, 10:30-11:30 AM @ Ypsilanti District Library-Whittaker
Session 3: October 12, 3:30-4:30 PM @ EMU Student Center: Room 330
Register your organization to receive your login credentials to the NonProfit Portal. Through this portal you can apply for grants and receive information specific to nonprofits.
