Ypsilanti District Library Fund
In 2009, the Ypsilanti District Library's Board established a permanent endowment at the Ypsilanti Area Community Fund, a geographic affiliate of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, to help secure the library's future.
The Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) is everything a great community resource should be. Serving over 65,000 library card holders—79% of the population of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township, and Superior Township—YDL provides residents with books, music, movies, computer and internet access, and a wide range of services. YDL’s three locations offer over 2,600 free programs and events each year, including book clubs, concerts, storytimes for children, art exhibits, author visits, computer training classes, and job search workshops. The bookmobile provides on-site service to schools, neighborhood centers, and special community events, and YDL staff even hand-deliver books to homebound residents. The library is loved and valued by thousands of patrons who use it each week.
The Ypsilanti District Library Fund will support the Library's mission to enrich life, stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster literacy, and encourage an informed citizenry—For good. For ever.
