AAACF offers two important grantmaking programs for area youth. Our Youth Council is composed of 25 high school students from area high schools. In addition to making grants from our Youth Fund, YC participants engage in volunteerism and community leadership activities.

Ypsilanti Youth Empowered to Act (YYEA) draws upon the talents and dedication of 20 students from Ypsilanti area high schools. YYEA oversees a mini-grants program from the Youth Innovation Fund that will be made to young people for innovative civic action projects using a service-learning approach.
