Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation

Membership

25 students from Ann Arbor public, private, and independent high schools serve on Youth Council - and award over $80,000 in grants each year to support youth programs and services throughout Washtenaw County.

Each fall, Youth Council selects new members to replace the high school seniors who graduated the previous spring. To be eligible for membership on the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation Youth Council, a student must attend an Ann Arbor public, private or independent high school. In cases of consortium schools, a student is eligible for membership if:

  • The student goes to a consortium school in which the Ann Arbor Public School District is a participating member, and
  • The student would otherwise be graduating from an Ann Arbor public high school.

Applications for the 2018-2019 Youth Council are no longer being accepted. The application process will begin again in summer 2018.
