Anna Botsford Bach Fund for Seniors

In 2017, the Anna Botsford Bach Fund for Seniors grants committee awarded $135,704 in grants to support the following organizations, programs, and services that benefit seniors in our community:

•Aid in Milan - $7,820
To support Aid in Milan's continued efforts to provide Seniors with Nutritional Safety Net Services.

•Arbor Hospice - $10,000
To fund a half time social worker for Arbor Hospice's Palliative Care program.

•CSS Caregiving and Isolation - $10,000
To increase supports for caregiver and socially isolated older adults.

•Chelsea Senior Center-Meals on Wheels
- $9,000
To support our Senior Nutrition Program, which includes Meals on Wheels and congregate lunches.

•United Methodist Retirement Communities - $7,000
To train Kresge Center caregivers in the Household Model, transforming care for low-income seniors.

•Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels
- $10,000
To support for clients and their family to connect with in-home services to improve quality of life.

•Aid in Milan - $3,000
To provide support for vehicles which Aid In Milan uses for delivery services for Meals on Wheels.

•Catholic Social Services - Blueprint for Aging - $15,000
To maintain process for collaborative community decisions that implement and sustain senior programs.

•Catholic Social Services - Independent Seniors
- $15,000
To increase capacity for older adults to remain independent and in their home for as long as possible.

•Jewish Family Services - $15,000
To provide support services to caregivers and recipients through sustainability-enhancing programs.

•Silver Club
- $15,000
To provide information, education and support to older adults with dementia and to their families.

•Barrier Busters - $4,884
To provide general operating support

•Senior Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) - $4,000
To provide general operating support

•Huron Valley PACE
