2016 Community Grantmaking

2016 Community Grantmaking: General Operating and Capacity Building Support

AAACF's Community Grantmaking Program took an exciting step in 2015, under the direction of the Board, to begin awarding both general operating support and capacity building support grants. These two types of grant funding help the Community Foundation achieve local impact through supporting high performing nonprofits as well as nonprofits seeking to strengthen their internal operations and build capacity. General Operating Support can be used by the selected nonprofit to support any mission related activity and we are thrilled to be providing funds that are flexible and allow the nonprofit to adapt the funding to meet its organization's goals and increase community impact. Grants are supporting agencies across the nonprofit sector, including: Basic Needs/Human Services; Arts & Culture; Neighborhood & Communities; Health; Education; and the Environment.
