Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation

Ann Arbor Social Capital Fund

The Ann Arbor Social Capital Fund was established  in 2008 to give a group of family friends the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community by pooling their charitable gifts.

The Ann Arbor Social Capital Fund currently has  28 members.
Each member contributes a minimum of $500 (or $1,000 per couple) to a pooled fund to award grants.
Members research local nonprofits, assess and evaluate potential grant opportunities, and volunteer their time to the local organizations they choose to support.

Since the group was established in 2008, the Ann Arbor Social Capital Fund has awarded  $49,750 in grants to support local organizations that serve families and youth.
