Ann Arbor Summer Festival Endowment Fund
The Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s mission is to present a world-class celebration of arts and entertainment that enriches the cultural, economic, and social vitality of the region. Started in 1983, the festival attracts more than 60,000 people each year from the local community and throughout Southeast Michigan.
Recognized today as one of the leading performing arts festivals in the country, the Ann Arbor Summer Festival brings together national and international artists tjhat join regional performers and local partners in two venues: Mainstage at the University of Mighigan's Power Center and Top of the Park, an outdoor festival on Ingalls Mall on the University of Michigan's central campus.
The Ann Arbor Summer Fesival will celebrate its 28th season in 2011. Next year’s festival will run from June 17 through July 10, 2011.
Ann Arbor resident Connie Kinnear, a long-time patron and volunteer for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, established this endowment fund in 2005 to help insure the Summer Festival's longevity and financial stability.
